Laru Balderk is the current Prime Minister of the Republic of Holandia. She is married to one Donaar Balderk, a Dragonborn whom works within the department of Finances within Tamment.

Political History

Early Years

Lary Balderk started her political career acting as one of the members of the local parliament within Arcmore. She was elected into this office in 1206 PTF. She served quite popularly for nearly six years. Being a Human, she was a minority in the mainly Gnomish population of the city. Many humans viewed her favorably because of this. Once her 4th election passed, she decided to attempt to run for federal office. However, she was running against a Gnome candidate, who was more popular with the population of Arcmore. She decided to move to Tamment, and climb the political ladder that way. Once in Tamment, she began to use her past to get her way into various offices. Over the next twenty years, she moved from different departments until she found herself as the head of the department of Diplomacy.

The End of the 3rd Kadian War and rise to power

From within her office of head of Diplomacy, she served directly under the current Prime Minister: Elkkas Grimaxe. During this time, the Third Kadian War had been raging on for nearly four years. Her network of spies had discovered that the Kadian King Argon had a bastard son, who he was trying to keep secret. Using this lead, she approached the king about a deal. She would hide the child and keep him a secret, and he would agree to end the war while giving her the credit. Alton Leoril assisted in following through with this deal. With this accomplishment, Laru Balderk was able to win many of the people's favor, and was voted into office in 1234 PTF. Three months later, The Tang Conflict began.

The Tang Conflict

The Tang Conflict brought forth a new age within Holandia. Once the nation had recovered from the massive push into the mainland due to the The Captain's Enchantment incident, Balderk and her office enacted a halt to elections, and a mandatory draft. This action was initial protested by most members within the nations, names the Alakadi and various other Western native populations. Over time, however, many city dwellers began to fall under the "behind the flag" effect and began to back the Prime Minister. The anger and distaste never died within the rural regions.

The Irreedeemables

in 1242, after the death of Janus Argon, Laru met with a group that would later call themselves The Irredeemables Adventuring Party. They were looking for the son of King Argon. She denied them access to him. Over the coming months, they fought. With this group saving the child. Laru made a death with a Genie of the Plane of Air to stop them in exchange for her ability to wait for things. After that day, she always acted rash. This plan failed. Six months later, she was approached by the leader of the Iram movement within Tamment, this group for the sovereignty of the Desert. She didn't hesitate, much to the anger of her parliament. She took this group into a secret prision under her Protective bunker, however they broke out, killer Laru along the way.
