Government

The city of Tamment is governed by a group of nine elected officials referred to as headmasters, each of the headmasters governs their own specialization of the city. Above the headmasters, within the city is also the higher level Holandain Government, with the Holandian Parliament headed by the Prime Minister.

Industry & Trade

While the city itself has very few exports, Tamment is known as the Capital of experimentation within Holandia. Many Artificers and spell crafters come to Tamment to use the nearby empty plains as wonderful testing grounds. Tamment is also popular as the launching point for all Western to Eastern (and vise versa) trade. The cities central location allows it to be a common resting point for travelers and traders alike.

From within Tamment, there is a thorough criminal underworld. These organizations have many connections with Alakadian Nomadic groups.

Headed by Jamus Siral, a universal crime family that manages many of the smaller guilds within the underworlds

History

Long before the creation of the Holandian Republic, The lands west of the Holandian Mountains were full of various smaller tribes, governments, and empires. One of these was the old Alakadi Empire, which unified the Alakadi Desert. Their capital city was declared to be smaller at the time city nearing a small lake within the Desert. Over the years, the city changed hands, peacefully and militarily, until 1085, when the ever-spreading Holandians 'unified' the tribes and named Tamment their Capital City.

Tourism

Tamment is famous as a wonderful place to vacation or to stop while on a long journey. Tamments Unique worldly taverns are a sight to behold, with unique unheard-of drinks from niche or remote cultures. The arts is also a very popular side of Tamment, with a unique mix between Dwarven and Alakadian culture notes.

Geography

Tamment is surrounding a small lake that flows from a larger lake within the Alakadi Desert. Close to the North East is also the beginnings of the Holandian mountain range, where small amounts of mining do occur.
