The Tang Conflict

The Conflict

Prelude

In the ending weeks of the Third Kadian War, The Tang empire began to mobilize troops, hoping to strike the two nations while they were weaker to gain some coastal territory. A Holandian spy within the empire discovered this plot three weeks before they planned to attack, and this inspired the creation of the The Captain's Enchantment .

Deployment

On the 34th day in Firspri, the Tang empire launched three offensives, one to Sinas, one to Korra, and One to Waterdeep. Sinas and Korra was nearly instantly taken over, with Waterdeep beginning a nearly month-long siege. At the same time, The The Captain's Enchantment was reverse-engineered by the Tang empire, causing the two defending nations to act in defense, so they do not lose more soldiers to the Enchantment.

The Engagement

A fairly unknown party, to some known as the Traveling Tavern, was hired by King Janus Argon  to activate one of the fail-safes of The Captain's Enchantment. A month after the war began, a large flash of light appeared on the Tian Ci mountain, and all of the controlled soldiers broke free from their enchantment, and the tide of the war shifted. Over the next six years, slowly the mainland was taken back from the Tang empire, until the capital city was taken, ending the war.
Some notable events are as followed
The Battle of Waterdeep
The liberation of Chesa
The Sinas revolution.

Outcome

Once the war was completed, both respective sides of the victors celebrated. During the Kadian ball, Janus Argon was assassinated. This was revealed to be a last-ditch effort by the now-deposed Emperor of the Tang Empire. This led to the discovery of the existence of Renauld Argon
In the following months, relations between the two sides diminished, but never led to more conflict.

Aftermath

The Tang Empire, after being dismantled by both the Monarchy of Kaidenhall and the Republic of Holandia, soon grew into a sort of international grey area. Both nations had much influence on the laws and people within the island nation. After the period known as 'The Decade of Thorns' (see Republic of Holandia, the Tang nation grew to be independant, becoming a Nocracy.
