Specialized Equipment

Two hand crafted Weapons that use the magical Energy of the Cavehelm Gem to propel glass ammunition at great speeds. 

The Wanderers Friend

A handheld weapon shaped like a revolver with specially shaped cavehelm gems in the back of each of the six chambers. In pulling the trigger, it causes the internal gem to propel any object to great speeds. Namely, shaped glass beads are used normally.

The Wanderers Longarm

A single shot rifle, which uses crushed Cavehelm gems in the rifling to propell sharpenned glass rods to gread speeds.

Personal history

Built as one of the thousands of constructs designed to fight for the now-defunct Eberron Empire, Clockwork spent his first few years fighting, however, took a shot to the head by a strange contraption, which used a micro-explosive to propel an explosive. While externally destroying one of his eyes, it also gave Clockwork a sense of sentience. He used the chance to escape, fleeing the continent, with the idea of his new self, and an idea for a weapon. He took refuge on a ship heading to the continent of Victavia, and crafted his first pistol.

Meeting and Joining the Traveling Tavern

  Not long after the party now known as the Traveling Tavern had first had come together to own the trollskull tavern within Waterdeep, they accepted a job to take care of a group of goblin bandits in an abandoned building. Upon reaching the location, they found Clockwork had cleaned them out, getting to the bounty first. They then offered for him to join them, to act as security. He agreed, still needing a place to stay. He took refuge in their cellar, where they soon learned of his robotic nature. This came as much surprise to Kantrix T'an Gaell, who also hailed from the battlefield of Espa. After some conflict, they grew to be friends.

Nim and the Vault of Dragons

Recently after joining the group, the party had met a small playful construct named Nim, who Clockwork came to care for. Since they met, they had worked together in some form. Clockwork also participated in raiding the Vault of Dragons. Clockwork was part of the reason for their name, the Traveling Tavern. Using most of his share of the spoils from the Vault of Dragons, he converted the tavern to be able to fly using large balloons, which they used to travel around later in their career.

Dissolution of the Traveling Tavern

Once Ferdinand had left the Party, searching for answers in Talo, Clockwork did not see much use in staying with the Tavern. He gave the balloons once more look over and left the region. Every once and a while he would return, and visit, but soon didn't see the reason. He traveled through the continent, doing whatever jobs he could. However, his sights were set on a true prize.

The Great Railway disaster

Clockwork was facinated by the Cavehelm Gem, and their applications. While his old party was in Chesa, he looked into the idea of stealing a large amount of them, but reserved himself to a smaller gem, which he used to tinker with Cavehelm based Weapons. As the first long-distance public railway was complete, he decided to go big. He planned a heist in where he derailed the new train on its final test run, while very few people would be affected. The heist did more damage to the rail line than he planned, but he got away with enough gems to produce his two Cavehelm-based Firearms.

Meeting with The Irredeemables Adventuring Party

In 1242, Clockwork was chasing a bounty in an area known as The soulless Plains in South Western Holandia. While there, he happened across a group of Adventures, with his old friend Ferdinand Barron in tow. Together, they capture his bounty, and stopped a train containing the Bastard son of the late Kadian King (see Renauld Argon) He bid them a fair day, and decided to head off north, which is where he resides now.
