Holandian Rail System

In the years following the increased research on technologies using the Cavehelm Gem and the incredibly successful experiment of a public railway within the city of Chesa, the Holandian Road Committee green-lit a project to create a train network to transport people and supplies in between the main cities. Construction started in Chesa in the year 1235, and currently, two rails are finished with more on the way. There is currently a rail system to the city of Tamment, the Holandian Capital, and a rail system to the town of Sinas. Current plans are to extend the Sinas line to Talo and/or Waterdeep, and to extend the Tamment Line South to the Border of the Soulless Plane.

Construction Controversy

In order for the railway system to be built, large swaths of the Northern Raven Ward were destroyed and moved to the outside of the city wall. The city government did offer payment to the people displaced, though it was hardly enough.
