Duskcairn

Duskcairn is a largish town in the south of Paxtopa. The ancestral home of the Darnet family, it was once the capital of much of the Eskar region before that the family swore allegiance to the Ashkevron throne.

These days, it is a prosperous town and serves as a node for the various Darnet family businesses. Many of the warehouses that make up almost half of the town belong to various branches of the family. Darnet Hall itself lies several miles east of the town proper.

• Owner is Pruna Rosebluff, (she/her) a Halfling with plump rosy cheeks
• Specializes in fiction and romance novels

The Scholarly Tome

• Owner is Alynor Walhorn, (they/them) an older half-elf with short, puffy white hair
• Specializes in more academic works; history, natural philosophy, biographies

Ore Galore

• Owner is Vondar Thunderhandle, (he/him) a young dwarf with a short braided beard and huge bushy eyebrows
• A good sized blacksmith shop with a variety of goods on display

Stitch in Nine

• Owner is Ianovar Kelvra, (he/him) a middle-aged half-elf with long flaming red hair
• Quite a large tailor's shop filled with all manor

The Bloody Boar

• Owner is Garish Foamweaver, (he/him), an older orc with a wedge shaped peg leg of greyed driftwood
• Keeps a variety of meats on display, house special is a surf and turf sausage made with a smoked longfish and boar meat.

The Baking Blade

• Owners are Zakein Skycaller and Burin Jukam, an older retired couple who opened a bakery after adventuring. Zakein (he/him) is a older goliath with a a bright smile, he wears loose fitting shirt and trews of rusty orange. Burian (they/them) is human with white hair in a top knot, he also wears loose fitting shirt and trews, but his are in different shades of blue.
• Baked goods of all kinds, but the house special are the large cinnamon rolls with caramelized peach bits

Inns

The Grey Lady

• Owner is Bertrand Nenduuk, (he/him) a human with large muttonchops and a round beer belly
• The largest inn in Duskcairn, it boasts almost 50 rooms as well as its own bathhouse

The Lazy Root

• Owner is Nomo Foamweaver, (she/her), a tall, lithe half-orc with short tight salt and pepper curls
• While she does have a few rooms available, the Lazy Root is known for having the best food in town

Other Points of Interest

Shrine of Eldath

• North of the village, the shrine straddles the creek at a small waterfall within a willow grove.
• An elderly priestess lives in a treehouse within the grove. Jenfaen Greenleaf, (she/her) a half-elf with long white hair and a bit of hunch when she stood.
