The Aetherium Hall
Hall of Artifice and Wonder
The Aetherium Hall is the magical heart of Oakvein, a place where elven craftsmanship and arcane heritage are preserved, studied, and advanced. It is the domain of Loremaster Naerion, master of enchantments, spellcraft theory, and magical lineage.
Here, arcane constructs hover between tree limbs, tools move of their own accord, and relics whisper softly in the tongue of magic waiting to awaken. Apprentices from Celene, the Wild Counties, and even distant Ulek seek training here, though few are accepted.
History and Lore
The Hall was first woven into the boughs of Oakvein nearly four centuries ago, when the tree itself opened its upper limbs to Naerion in recognition of his mastery. He spent decades growing it—not building it—by encouraging the branches to form chambers, decks, and platforms through magical dialogue with the tree’s spirit.
It was originally founded to house enchanted heirlooms salvaged from the ruined elven settlements of the Flanaess after the fall of Lendore and the Suel-Imperium wars. Since then, it has grown into a living archive and arcane forge, dedicated to the reclamation and enhancement of ancient elven spellcraft.
Legends speak of a seed of star-metal buried at the hall’s core—Naerion’s original focus gem, said to echo with the language of the stars.
