Junior Ruler

Qualifications

There are qualifications required to be a Junior Ruler, a person must only choose the Rulers pathway. Junior Ruler is the entry level position in this pathway.

Appointment

The appointment to Junior Ruler does not have its own ceremony, but is part of the Path Choosing ceremony, when a person chooses which path they wish to work on.

Duties

The duties of the Junior Ruler include spending the majority of their time shadowing both the Villiage Ruler and at least one of the Administrators. They will be asked to do tasks by the people in these positions and will be expected to follow instruction and show initiative where necessary.

Responsibilities

They are responsible for learning from the Village Ruler and Administrators. They are responsible for learning and understanding how the community in which they live is run and as they progress within the position they will be expected to identify potential issues and bring them to the attention of the Village Ruler, along with suggested solutions.

Cultural Significance

Junior Rulers are treated with respect by the community because they have chosen what is considered to be the most difficult and stressful of paths. It is widely believed that people do not choose the Rulers path so much as they are called to it and that many do it because they need to rather than because they want to.
