The Arcane Tones

An extemely popular touring musical act, The Arcane Tones wowed audiences throughout the continent of Aetrun with their own special blend of guitar-led-sing-along-dance-along-crowd-pleasing-but-with-an-edge music (a genre desperately in need of name - Dwarf bass player Gimdor "Goldpick" Deepdigger's suggestion of 'Boulder Music' was roundly rejected).   From humble beginnings playing the backstreet pubs of Valliné, the band really started to hit their stride following a much-vaunted run of shows at The Cave Club, in Steinstad. Perfecting an infectious blend of musical styles that electified their young audiences, and shocked their parents, the band were destined for greatness.   Sold out shows in taverns and clubs quickly became larger events, and the band found themselves playing to much larger crowds in amphitheaters, guild-halls, and in one notable show in Ashalla, atop the roof of the Éternité Marché Royal.   Through their six years as a group, the lineup of the band went through several changes, but from the peak of their popularity until their eventual 'indefinite hiatus', the band consisted of -   Zentha (Elf) - Lead Vocals
Ozmand Storm (Tiefling) - Lead Guitar & Vocals
Gimdor "Goldpick" Deepdigger (Dwarf) - Bass
Folkar "Tusk" Stevens (Half-Orc) - Drums

Disbandment

Following the inexplicable death of longtime half-orc drummer, Folkar "Tusk" Stevens, the band declared that they would going on an indefinite hiatus to deal with the loss, but promised to return with a new lineup in the future.   Shortly after this hiatus was announced, Guitarist/Singer, Ozmand, missing the limelight, would embark upon a series of solo engagements, with tour dates booked at locations throughout The Kingdom of Vallanna and The Kingdom of Ashalla. His tour was cut short just four shows into the tour however, when he was involved in a violent altercation with a drunk heckler during his show in Serenal. The heckler in question turned out to be an off-duty member of the city watch, and Ozmand was arrested. All further stops on the 'Oz on My Own' tour were henceforth postponed indefinitely.   Gimdor "Goldpick" Deepdigger would return to his family in Shalefast, and immediately take up his old job in the Shalefast mines.   Zentha joined a fringe religious cult of the deity Milil, God of Poetry and Song, and composed some truly awful long-form spoken word works.   Folkar "Tusk" Stevens is still dead.
