Swindon
Swindon is a farming town in the northeast section of Valheim. They purposely settled in that location for the soils special attributes; its ability to grow Faerie Pumpkin regularly.
Demographics
All different races are accepted into Swindon as long as they work as part of the community. In Swindon, nobody has more money than somebody else because practically everyone is a farmer.
Government
Swindon is run by their kind mayor Arkas Joyfire and his wife. not much of Swindon has changed sense they first settled, which tends to attract quiet humble folk to the town, like halflings of half-elves.
Defences
Swindon, much like every other settlement besides Caperhold is guarded by The High Guard. Otherwise, they have no formal defenses besides lowly mercenaries.
Industry & Trade
Swindon is no city and cannot have a large marketplace so they often ship their goods to be sold in Ardglass which is a much larger city with a much better trade. Otherwise, you can find a couple of traveling merchants right outside of town, not taking up space out of respect for the hard-working farmers.
Infrastructure
Swindon consists of mostly crop farms (Faerie Pumpkin farms), which ends up creating some interesting patterns of roads, zigzagging around farm plots. Otherwise, the town is rather basic in its infrastructure. The town is made up of 2 districts, the Lock district, and the Key district. The Lock district is more inland and has more shops, houses, and other general buildings while the Key district is made up of practically all farms and is located on the coast.
Assets
Swindon's big thing is Faerie Pumpkins because of how rare they are everywhere else. Otherwise, Swindon is the big producer of food, grains, livestock, and spices all across Valheim.
History
Swindon was the second town to be founded after Ardglass and has always been the producer of food on Valheim. Besides from that Swindon doesn't have a very rich history.
Tourism
The only reason tourists would come to Swindon is to look at Faerie pumpkins or to visit a famous tavern or bar but never to see the sights of the city, for it is fairly unremarkable compared to the other settlements of Valheim.
Architecture
Swindon's homes are very homey. They are mostly made of wood and stone, with a clay chimney on top which almost always steaming with delicious aromas.
Geography
Swindon is right next to the mouth of the Border where they have easy access to clean water.
Natural Resources
Swindon has very rich soil that makes crops grow at a tremendous rate, and is the only known location where people can purposely cultivate Faerie Pumpkins.
