Ardglass
Ardglass is the trade hub of Valheim because it is the only city capable of trade that is located on the coast. This walled city is probably the safest city in Valheim due to the strict nature of its overseer, Phitris Magpie.
Demographics
All races are welcomed into Ardglass but some are more welcome than others. Ardglass tends to attract greedy humans and those who wish to trade, but where there is money there is crime. That is why there is so much security in Ardglass but with crime comes suspicion. Races like Teifling, Drow, and others are often mistreated by the community because they assume they will commit some kind of crime.
Government
Ardglass is very tightly defended with all the entrances and exits guarded at all times, so their governmental system depends a lot on protection. A large amount of taxes collected is spent on the protection of the city such as The High Guard, wall repairs, and magical security. Phitris Magpie also appreciates nobles who use their money for the uprooting of corruption within her city, giving them a certain amount of reputation and power within the city.
Defences
Ardglass has a towering wall with many turrets lining its surface, which is lined with members of The High Guard armed with bows because their spells don't have the reach to attack grounded creatures from the wall. Inside of the city Phitris Magpie makes sure each part of the city is equally protected so even the poorest beggar can feel safe within her walls.
Industry & Trade
Ardglass's economy floats on the many many buisnesses and the central bazaar. Many merchets and traders who either come to sell their own wares from all across Valheim or to supply the Ardglass locals with wares for their business.
Infrastructure
Ardglass is filled with shops and bazaars, with not actually that much housing. Most people in the city are merchants traveling to and from Ardglass to sell their wares in the bazaar. Those who actually do live in the city almost always own their own shop, getting their wares from the merchants and traders from other cities. Ardglass is separated into 3 districts. 2 larger circular districts surrounding one central district. The 2 outward districts are the Northern rise and the Southern fall district. The northern rise district faces inland, having very tall buildings made for the nobles of Ardglass. The Southern fall district is built facing out towards the sea, housing the low to middle-class citizens. The District in the middle is called the central plateau which is completely filled with one massive bazaar surrounding Phitris Magpie's high-reaching tower which she spends her day doing paperwork and watching over her city.
Assets
Ardglass has the second-most guards of all the cities on Valheim, and a giant stockpile of weapons and Chokellockel. Other than main defenses Phitris Magpie holds a secret underground hall which holds all of the cities gold, and her personal magical item collection, which she plans to use in case of an attack on her city. The hall is protected with a magical door which will only ever open for Phitris Magpie unless a wish spell is used.
