History

As a Princess Ellania was married to Damar, the eldest son of the wealthy Thornspire family, by the arrangement of her father the King. Although Damar was pleased with the arrangement initially, she was not, and her famous - but somewhat brutal - honesty meant that she was very open regarding how much she disliked the match. This rapidly soured any chance they might have had to live amicably, and he was soon as discontented as she.

History

After the death of her first husband due to a sudden illness, the then-Princess Ellania shocked Nerevarn by marrying the commoner Henry Wheelwright, a native of the capital city who owned a workshop which manufactured carriages. It very nearly caused a rift with her father the King, but as she was his only child, and had at least produced an heir with her more 'suitable' first husband before he died, the relationship survived, although Henry was never permitted to attend royal events with his wife, and the King continued to treat her as if she was still a widow.
