King Consort Henry Wheelwright
Henry Wheelwright was a lowborn Illyrian trader and merchant who became the second husband of Queen Ellania, then still a Princess, and father of the infamous Henry the Ungrateful . He is also the man after whom the current Prince Henry is named.
Upon his marriage, Wheelwright became stepfather to the future King Velebor II . The two maintained a good relationship and Wheelwright was the only 'father' Velebor ever knew, his own true father having died soon after his birth. Unfortunately, King Casavir III - Wheelwright's new father-in-law - was strongly against his grandson being raised by a commoner and kept them apart as much as possible, the result of which was that the relationship was amicable but not particularly close. It was only after the death of the King, when Wheelwright's wife ascended the throne as Queen, that he was able to build a closer relationship with his by-then adult stepson. This seems to have been a success, and the two enjoyed a strong friendship, with Velebor even naming his eldest son Prince Henry after his stepfather despite the name carrying connotations of low birth.

After the death of her first husband due to a sudden illness, the then-Princess Ellania shocked Nerevarn by marrying the commoner Henry Wheelwright, a native of the capital city who owned a workshop which manufactured carriages. It very nearly caused a rift with her father the King, but as she was his only child, and had at least produced an heir with her more 'suitable' first husband before he died, the relationship survived, although Henry was never permitted to attend royal events with his wife, and the King continued to treat her as if she was still a widow.
