Njorskarmarkr
Bathed in the gleam and glimmer of the northern lights
Njorskarmarkr, also called Isenfornheim, Frjósagarðr, The Frozenafar North, or simply The Frozen Far North is a colloquial and not rigidly-defined name given to the lands that lie in the furthest north of the continent of Euron. They are so-named as snow falls in these lands even in the warmest summers. It comprised the Windy Slopes Mountainrange; the frigid lands to the north and west; including ___, the _______the icebergs of the ________, and the north-easternmost part of the Frozen Shore. It is the only part of the continent that is not part of a realm, and thus the only place where particular attention is given to the difference between "Euron" (the continent), and the Kingdoms of the North (the two realms to the south of the Auldheim Mountains).
It is inhabited by tribes and clans that refer to themselves as the "Njorskarrfvolk or The Njorskar/Njorskarings", known by the people of the Kingdoms of the North as the Northfolk or Isenbluud barbarians. The njorskarings themselves are not politically unified but consist of numerous and diverse groups. Many are semi-nomadic hunters, due to the impracticality of agriculture in the far north. Some njorskarings are little more than savage and primitive raiders, but other groups live in small settled communities and villages.
Geography
The lands of Njorskarmarkr reached the northern peaks of both The Fist of Annam All-Father and the windy slopes of Ottar's Throne and extended northwest through the Saltspire Sea. It stretched as far east as the Duparheim Glacier.
The North, savage as it is, is difficult to truly delimit, especially when its boundaries so often shifts depending on the person studying them. Most, however, would agree that its northern end followed the Garyx's Spine and the frozen wastes past it, while reaching as far south as Jarolborg, its southern border drawn west from there to the Vastview Sea and east, through the Mines of Masud and Auldheim Mountains, to the great Krashuk Steppe. The nearby folk of the Valelands and Rimefold generally accept this notion, simplifying it to say that the Mannafall Moorlands is the North's southermost edge
The broadest definition for the North comes from faraway Djerad Shiqor, whose merchants amalgamate anything beyond their neighboring Fionmagh into a singular "Savage, uncultured" North, but even those cities who call the region home rarely agree on this notion. Though the Sturmhafer people of Sturmhafen considers their northern walls its southernmost border, for example, the Harbour of the North is distinctly northern territory to the Königsburger of the City of The Royal Direwolf, whom use their own walls as the North's south-western bounds.
The region immediately north of the Auldheim Mountains includes the Huldablot Forest Kauldskog Forest, two vast taiga-forests which covers most of the area, extending from the Auldheim Mountains, to the furthest uncharted north.
These forests extends from the eastern coast to a large mountain chain in the west known as the Jothun's Cairn, commonly just called the "Cairns" for short. The Jothun's Cairns extend an unknown distance to the north and are quite inhospitable. However, there are rumors that even the northernmost mountains contain hidden valleys, heated by volcanic activity, which are actually the most hospitable regions north of the auldheim mountains, and heavily settled by the Njorskarings.
Southwest of the Cairns there is a narrow strip of land between the mountains and the sea known as the Drakkar Shore, a harsh area inhabited by fierce and primitive warriors who frequently cross the Icespire Bay raid the lands in the North sworn to House of Vesiliev. This small area is totally enclosed by the Cairns, which run southeast to northwest, and the ocean.
Beyond all of these areas, in the furthest north are the Kafaldin Expance. The forest ends and gives way to these truly polar regions, which are unexplored. It is rumoured that in the depths of the Kafaldin Expance, the Frostgiants and White dragons are still fighting out the The Thousands Year War in this ancient abttlefield of frigid snowlands

Climate
Njorskarmark experiences freezing temperatures for much of the year. While kinder summer months ranges from –12 ℃ to 21 ℃ (11 ℉ to 70 ℉), the temperature of the unforgiving winters dipped as low as -40 ℃ (-40 ℉), altough during particularly harsh winters the temperature might drop as low as −67.7 °C (−89.9 °F). While snowfall is relentless, even in the southernmost parts of this land, much of it blows north, to the nearby Iisellhafsjǫr-Jǫkull (Njorskar Glacier).
Fierce blizzards ravaged the snowy wastelands of Njorskarmark and avalanches are regular occurrences within its mountainous regions.

Fauna & Flora
Njorskarmark is home to animals like hares, arctic foxes, reindeer, and elk, along with beasts like crag cats, mammoths, woolly rhinoceros, polar bears, saber-toothed tigers, cave lions, cave hyena, snowy owlbears, and monstrous yetis. Beyond the wild animals are packs of scavenging gnolls, arctic goblins, kobolds, and ravenous ice trolls.
Other dangerous creatures found throughout the region include elementals known as air weirds, undead spirits known as coldlight walkers, monstrous remorhazes, warring bands of frost giants, and perhaps most-terrifying, a number of white dragons.
There was scarce plant life to be found throughout the region, save for a solitary forest and the Great Oak around which a lone town was founded. Sacred winter plants, and especially hardy lichen was among the notable types of flora that managed to endure the frigid elements of Icewind Dale.
