Battle of Kirfaan
The Battle of Kirfaan of 10 PC, or the Battle of Krifaanko (Battle of Kirfaan Bay) was a naval bombardment of anchored Magowanese ships at Kirfaan. Zragar Maccal managed to destroy over 100 Magowanese ships and retreated with minimal casualties.
The Conflict
Prelude
Following the Battle of Qurthi, the Magowanese navy retreated to Kirfaan and focused on protecting and rebuilding their positions. Meanwhile reconstruction of the Tymerian fleet brought its strength up to 166 vessels. With this fleet Zragar Maccal and Narkul Maccal set sail from Niarulhar on 29 Eleint. Roberto Shadannii's small flotilla joined them the following day and together they advanced towards Kirfaan. They reached the estuary of Iejir River on 4 Marpenoth and received news of 500 Magowanese vessels anchored at Kirfaan.
Outcome
Zragar Maccal originally intended to destroy all the remaining Magowanese ships, however, he realized that doing so would effectively trap the Magowanese soldiers inside the Thulian Archipelago, where they would travel inland and slaughter the natives. Therefore, Maccal left a small number of Magowanese ships unharmed and withdrew his navy to resupply. And just as Maccal suspected, under the cover of darkness, the remaining Magowanese soldiers boarded their remaining ships and retreated.
