Kalari Lashes
The Kalari Lashes (singular Lash) are the nomadic tribes of Kalari who move across the Redlands following Thristlebug migrations. They a comprised of 15-150 interrelated Kalari. Lashes typically utilize beasts of burden such as Brohnx and other creatures suited to desert travel. A Lash is housed in tents called "Yurts." They typically only own what they can carry with them. Lashes are named for things important to that Lash, such as the Wind, Sun or Song.
Structure
Lashes have a Tribal hierarchy. A Khan, usually a tribe elder sits at its head, advised by a small council of elders. A Khan reigns for life and when they pass, the council elects the next one, usually from among their own. Beneath the elders, several Gulkhans, usually heads of families, oversee the day to day activities of the Lash. Each member of the Lash is expected to contribute in some way. Members typically have several jobs and few specialize in just one role.
History
The Kalari Lashes have existed far before any written history on the continent. Kalari oral histories are so interspersed with myth and legend that it is difficult to separate truth from fiction.
The Kalari have only once in recorded history had aspirations of empire. In the year 143 B.E, Jin-Pa, khan of the Wind Lash Lowland Kalari , united several lashes into an organized force and launched and invasion of the Al'Badadi Empire . The invasion was sort lived when Jin-Pa's forces were defeated in the open field in a decisive, and ill advised battle. Jin-Pa's folly serves as a cautionary tale, warning of the perils of hubris.

Demography and Population
The Kalari Lashes represent the majority of the Lowland Kalari and Highland Kalari. It's all but unheard of for another species to live among them.
Military
Kalari are considered small, and naturally weak and fare poorly in traditional forms of combat. They also lack the sheer numbers to make for an effective army like the Wendikal Clans. Instead, the kalari opt for more unconventional methods of combat. The tribes are defended by a type of powerful mage called a Kalari Song-Shaman, who can wield elemental magic with devastating effectiveness.
In more mundane terms, the kalari often rely on mounted archers. They make heavy use of recurve bows, which are small enough to use while mounted but powerful enough to pierce armor. These archers are then mounted on a swift beast like Crixel. Their mount's speed combined with the range of the recurve bows makes fighting them incredibly difficult. This means they can hold their own against far superior foes.
