Solarism
Solarism, is broadly speaking, the worship of Sol, God of the Sun. Different cultures have different traditions but certain elements of this religion converge. They teach that Sol is the creator of everything and that he IS the sun seen in the sky daily. Solarism is Monotheistic, a peculiarity in Ur'En.
Worshipers of Sol are called Solarists. Solarists are found throughout Ur'En but have numerous presence in the Redlands and the Telentia River Plains.

Structure
Solarism is highly decentralized, being spread throughout Ur'En. Practitioners worship under a Priest, being someone who has been blessed by the God with divine power. The hierarchy dissolves mostly from there. Priests have the authority to organize their congregation as they like. Priests rarely meet together in large gatherings. This means that two different groups of Solarists might worship in vastly different ways.
Mythology & Lore
The teachings of Solarism state that Sol, in his eternal beneficence, created Ur, the Moon Dis and the stars beyond. Sol, in the eyes of the faithful, is the point of origin, from which everything, including other Gods, arises. Priests who purport to commune with the deity claim that he IS the sun, and that the object in the daytime sky has a personality, will, and wishes. While they acknowledge the existence of other deities, Solarists designate Sol as on a higher spiritual level than the pretenders. In their eyes, you need only look into the daytime sky to see direct evidence of their God, something no one else can claim.
Divine Origins
In many places, Sol has been worshiped for as long as their collective memory can recall. Solarism as a uniting organization, however, has only existed for several centuries.
Cosmological Views
Solarists place Sol at the center of the universe, both Spiritually and literally. Solarists are heliocentric, believing that Ur and Dis revolve around Sol, rather than the more commonly held belief in the other way around. They elevate their God above the others of Ur'En, seeing them as a sort of "Over-Diety." Being the creator of all things, Solarists reason that this includes the other Gods, and therefore, Sol must have power over them as well.
Tenets of Faith
-
Solarists do not have a strict code. The faith is too decentralized to maintain a list of tenants without deviation. There are some general commonalities, however, between the adherents of Sol.
- Sol is the center and origin of everything. Pay them the respect due and worship no other Gods.
- Greet Sol every morning with prayer and meditation. Bid Sol farewell every night and pray for their return.
- Bring light to the dark places of the world. (This is mostly metaphorical but some solarists believe it literally too.)
- Oppose those who seek to bring darkness. This particularly applies to the undead, whom the Solarists are mortally opposed to.
Worship
Worship of Sol on a daily basis takes place at the Sunrise and Sunset. Solarists will greet the new day with prayer and silent contemplation. Kalari will warm themselves in the suns rays with open frills, while others will bow their heads in prayer on special rugs.
The second daily ritual is to say goodbye to Sol at dusk. This usually involves a moment of silence and beseeching Sol to return the following dayy.

Priesthood
Priests of Sol are diverse, hailing from many different regions and species. The defining trait of a Priest of Sol is the God's blessing in the form of Divine powers. Once one is granted these magical abilities, they are assumed to take a leadership position within the Solarists.
Granted Divine Powers
Priests of Sol are granted powers typically within the spheres of light, purification and healing.
