Transportation Magic

Transportation Magic is a type (or branch) of magic that exists in the world of United Britannia and Hibernia. This type of magic allows the creation of portals as well as providing the type of magic that allows the HERMES to run.

Regulation

Transportation Magic is heavily regulated by the Council. Those born with Transportation Magic are watched closely by the Council. When they take their Exams, the level of the witch's power is determined by a Sensitive. If the level is too high, the witch is "institutionalized" (details are vague), so those born with this type of magic (as well as Time Magic) actually hope to have middling power so that they are deemed useful by the Council, but not too powerful.

Subtypes

There are no subtypes of Transportation Magic. However, the two types of careers (listed below) have two different sets of skills required.

Careers

Like with Healing Magic and some Psychic Magic, the Council requires those born with Transportation Magic to be one of three professions: a HERMES Engineer, a Transporter (someone who creates/maintains Portals), or a Zeppelin Operator.
