Fairy Graveyard

The Fairy Graveyard is where the source trees of the Fairies that dies in The Incident still stand. As Source trees for Fairies are their source of magic, and Faries are the tree's source of life, the trees are slowly dying, as the magic fades and dwindles away, no reason to continue to manifest inside of the trees. As they die, they curl in on themselves, growing smaller in the space thy once took up, and end up as rooted knots with just enough magic left flowing through them to preserve the barest minimum of their wood. Perhaps another 10 000 will fade the oldest away, as yet, the oldest Fairy death has been Forbidden to be remembered and their graves hidden from sight by a Council of Turien a long long time ago. (These are hidden and sealed with preservation magic in the Hidden Fairy Graveyard.)   This particular graveyard is in the south of the Great Forest, near the coast. These were Faries that were the playmates of a group of Mermaids from Mermaid Cove, including a few of Brooke's older sisters.   Many of these tree graves are Willow type trees. And perpetually looks like another Realm's Autumn season (much yellowing of leaves, with oranges and browns in the mix). It often feels colder than the rest of the Great Forest, yet not so cold as to not be warm.
