Faellys

Faellys – a contraction of Fae (‘ever-present moon’ or ‘shimmer’) and Lys (‘land’). Faefolk thus translates to ‘the folk of the ever-present moon’ or ‘the shimmering folk’. Faefolk in general love games, deals, riddles, exchange of ‘treasure’, and surprising gifts.

Geography

On the endless plains that are largely devoid of life, on the cold, southern part of Tubeon lies a gigantic forest of ancient trees, on and around an island so big that the lake it lies in looks more like a mote or river. The land is heavily imbued with the magical essence of Fetena, which influences flora, fauna and the behaviour of the land. The western side of the forest of Faellys ends at the foot of the Kangata mountainrange.

Fauna & Flora

Archfae

Archfae can be faefolk of different kinds, typically Bright Fae, but occasionally plantfolk, beastfolk or even faeries if they show interest in becoming such. Archfae are hard to destroy, nearly immortal, souls blessed with many lives. They are called the spirited ones, because of their on-living spirit and because they were blessed by the three ancient guardian spirits: the Spirit of the Tree, the Spirit of the Snake and the Spirit of the Fungus. The process of becoming an archfae takes more than one lifetime, having to prove themselves to the three spirits. Part of the blessings of the three spirits is a new life, meaning that the creature receiving the blessing immediately dies and gets reborn. That said, there are faefolk that are not archfae blessed with more than one life, and not nearly all of them is on their way to become archfae.
