The Humble Charlatan
With Mino Province's northern borders abutting the movement's territory, it is no surprise that Aotsuki Tsukamoto and his clan would eventually come into conflict with the Ikkō Ikki. One particular Ikki has been a particular thorn in the young Daimyō's side, however. This is that led by Ikkyū, a "humble monk" who has proved to be a charlatan of the highest caliber. Despite not possessing any notable powers of magic or combat, he has connived his way through a series of situations which imperiled and infuriated Aotsuki and those he holds dear. It may not be incorrect to call him the aspirant Emperor's nemesis; the antithesis of everything Aotsuki stands for. Even now, Ikkyū remains outside of the grasp of justice, seeming to have gone to ground in the company of another Ikki.
