Provost of the Torres
The senior leadership of a Torre of Mustoir consists of a group of ten provosts, together with their leader the Archprovost.
While officially the Provosts report to the Archprovost, in practice they are typically trusted with near complete control over their domains.
Appointment
Provosts are appointed by the Archprovost from amongst the fellows. They are typically older and more experienced men, although it is not unheard of for others to ascend to the rank. Being a Provost is a busy full time job, and most hold the position for only 5-10 years, choosing to retire back to Fellowships when they have accomplished what they had planned. In rare occasions, individuals have been known to hold multiple Provost roles in their career.
Responsibilities
Provosts undertake the vast majority of the day to day operation of the Torre. There are a number of common roles across all five Torres, with the others being more domain specific expert casters.
Common Role | Responsibilities |
---|---|
Education | Setting the syllabus, timetables and governing the day to day lives of students. |
