Serge is the former Provost of Vision of Profetta Torre in Mustoir. He resigned in protest after his prediction of the death of Duke Mathion was ignored, recommending Claudine Lambert as his successor.
Life and career
Born a commoner an Acarian mother and a Lassan father in northern Lasse, his early life was largely unremarkable. In his teens, he often got involved in lengthy discussions on matters of culture and politics with minor noblemen at the various Lassan festivals, and this eventually brought him enough recognition that the local lords granted him access to their library. He quickly devoured everything he could read, and soon found himself on the back of a cart to Mustoir with a letter of recommendation to the Torres. He started initially with the Detona Torre, but being a quiet and timid character he found the noise and bustle of their work difficult, and he was transferred fairly soon to Profetta Torre. There he flourished, and slowly worked his way up the ranks to earn a Fellowship at the age of 38. It was at this time he really began to take the more mystical work of the Torre. He became obsessed with Scrying in particular, and researched spell variants using a scrying orb to see past or future events. He began to meditate in the chambers of Meyjariel below the tower, and he was granted the ability to scry into the past. This breakthrough was a major reason why he was selected as the Provost of Vision.
