Letter to Ixalsthic

A letter sent by Helin Silma to Ixalsthic outlining the terms of the deal made in exchange for Trem's aid in dealing with the Greenskin Invasion.
The letter was discovered several centuries after the invasion and was sealed in the restricted archives of the University of Trem.

Letter to Ixalsthic

To the one named Ixalsthic,
I will not offer greetings or wishes for good health as we both know that would be hypocritical. Your disdain for my kind was painfully obvious and I am sure you are aware of my dislike for yours. However, I do not believe that either of us will allow a personal disklike interfere with this most necessary agreement.
I have spoken to the rulers of the lands adjoining Trem and each has agreed to the terms that can be made public. The terms directly relating to your interests have also been agreed with only minor adjustments. Tha main changes are to bring in safeguards which you have already agreed to. In summary the public terms are

• The Holy Kingdom of Caresnas will relinquish control of Buthweit and the surrounding area.
• The Ancient Kingdom of the Forest will agree to stop tariffs on goods transonsported along the Renaduin for a period of 20 years.
• The kingdom of Balri will supply spellcasters to support your soldiers.

The additional terms around your activities that we have agreed to are:

The rulers of Caresnas, Balri, and FIlishar, as well as myself and the Magrannor will not attempt to interfere with the rule or Trem or other activities carried out by you provided they do not exceed certain limits.

The Empire of Trem must not be directed to attack any of the lands ruled by the signatories of this agreement.

You are permitted to take slaves from the population of Trem, but no more than 100 in a year. Only people of Trem may be taken. Any attempt to take those from another land, even if they are visiting Trem will be considered a breach of this agreement.

In exchange the Empire of Trem will devote it's resources, both military and economic to the defeat of the horde that has descended from the north.

• All legions are to be deployed and placed under the overall command of the joint war council.
• Funding is to be provided by Trem to Caresnas and Filishar to enable them to continue to supply their soldiers.

I trust that with this agreemnt we will soon see the legions march to the north.
