Personal history
Ashrim grew up on the streets and could best be dscribed as something of a scoundral in his younger days. Through no fault of his own he became entangled in the events of the corruption and restoration of the @Church, helping to save Holy Kingdom of Caresnas from the Lord of the First.
He later took control of the town of Shaon and attempted to put it back to rights. He was hampered in this by the additional destruction caused by a well meaning Tristrum Morningstar. When the Border Lords sent a Request for Aid in holding the mountain passes, Ashrim arranged for help from the dwarves and elves. This help came at a cost as detailed in Letter to Ashrim LeFaye. The nobles of Caresnas, who were already unhappy about a commoner taking over their capital city, were incensed by the terms that Ashrim had agreed to and sent Ashrim a Declaration of War.
Ashrim was forced to step down as leader of Shaon and was banished from the Holy Kingdom of Caresnas.

History
Tristrum and Ashrim met in Shaon just prior to discovering how corrrupt the Church of Pelor had become. They travelled together to find a way to restore the church. Throughout the journey Ashrim was frequently frustrated by Tristrum's lack of common sense. Things deterioated furthre from Ashrim's point of view when Tristrum accidentally destryed part of Shaon while defeating a great evil. Ashrim was forced to order Tristrum's arrest, though Tristrum was given enough warning to leave town before this happened.
