The Scarlet Crown

The Scarlet Crown is a holy item of the God Mimir, once the great treasure of the Elves that would sit atop the heads of their Queens. Since Arazion Nerifir betrayed his sister Macvara Nerifir and killed her, it has become the device that summons the Scarlet Host: a rage-fueled army led by Macvara's vengeful spirit.

Mimir's Great Treasure

The Scarlet Crown is a golden, circular crown with jagged points atop it. The points of the metal bleed from the gold into a scarlet color, as if they had been coated in blood that then soaked in and remained in the metal, dying it as the final resting place of its victims.

Red Garnets are adorned around the crown, emitting a faint, eerie glow that is said to be entrancing.   Carved around the garnets are the hands of the Devils of Hell joined with the hands of the Angels of Heaven and the Demons of the Void. They link together in a circle, crowding around the wearer of the crown as if to say that all Divinity bows to he or she whom wears the gilded diadem.   Unclear writing is inscribed along the surface and edges of the crown in a language yet to be translated, though many have attempted to crack its code.   Some say is is the language of the Demons, while others say it is a secret language known only be Mimir and his followers. What the crown says is unknown, though many fear that it warns of some great curse or power held within the relic.

The metal it is made of was once believed to be entirely gold, though its weight confounded all who held it. For it was golden in color and texture, yet its lightness was characteristic of no known metal, golden or otherwise.   Some say the crown is the basis by which Elven Gold was conceived: a cloth-like material that looks golden but is not metal. Others say the crown is actually made of Elven gold, though this has been disproven.   Whatever it is, it is most certainly metal. The rest of its composition, however, is up for debate and likely will never be solved. The material has not been found anywhere else in Totania, nor has it been created as an alloy. It is Mimir's and Mimir's alone.

The Holy Rebellion

The Holy Rebellion was the first great war in Elone. A fight between the Elves, Orcs, and the Gods.   Previously, the two species had been slaves of the two Gods who ran Camor, Mimir and Satanael. They lived for some time under the thumb of those Gods.   That is, until Meiriris Nerifir of the Elves and Amukk God Breaker of the Orcs led the two species in a great battle against the Gods to liberate their people from their holy chains.   With this, Amukk God Breaker overpowered and defeated Mimir and Meiriris Nerifir outsmarted and won against Satanael. Meiriris gained a great treasure while Amukk found only the Scarlet Crown. He wanted no part in this, and thus gave it to Meiriris, saying she was the one that united him, she should get the useless trinkets.   Meiriris eventually used this Crown as a symbol of the power she wielded, thus claiming to have the authority to kick out the Orcs from her land. It became a symbol of power and, to some, corruption.

Power of the Crown

It is said that the Scarlet Crown was initially a crown with the power to listen to its wearers feelings and amplify them, giving power as befits the desires of he or she whom wears it. For those who are happy, the crown helps them to spread joy with everything they do. For those lustful souls, they would go to war for whomever they lust after. For those filled with rage, however, it will make their fury so great that it will destroy anything in its path.   The Scarlet Crown, after Arazion Nerifir killed his sister and her family, has the great imbued power of the Scarlet Host in it.
Queen of the Scarlet Mist by Jarhed
The Queen of the Scarlet Mist wore it when she died, and her rage lingered in the crown, forming a bloody host of Wraiths that followed her to carry out her vengeance.   Now, if one were to find the Scarlet Crown, they would summon an army of Wraiths, particularly the Reapers who will seek the crown out for their Queen. A bloody mist engulfs the area around the crown, Wraiths pouring out like the mist were a wound in reality itself.   The Queen wishes for her crown so that she may have her symbol of power again. It is highly advised to not only stay away from her if one ever sees her, but to never give her the crown. If the crown is returned to her, untold horrors will be brought out.
"The Scarlet Crown is a threat to whomever holds it. Yet one must always hold it. She must never get it. If she does, then vengeance will be all that makes up the air itself, and fear will grip those not willing to accept revenge."
— Arazion Nerifir
