It is said a Black Boar soldier (after experimentation and enhancement) can beat any other soldier in a one-on-one fight. Beyond that, an entire fighting force of fully enhanced Black Boars could likely handle most fights for the Dwarven army, and the fact that they are almost never used in wars shows the absolute strength of the Dwarves.
Command
The Black Boars do have a
General, like all other Squads. However, due to their enhancements, the Black Boars are not exactly able to communicate and lead as efficiently, so their General is more of a title given to their strongest soldier than to an actual leader.
The General is named Kramdrus. Stories exist of when Kramdrus was being recruited. He was an incredibly pathetic soldier who could do very little. He failed to make it into any other Squads, but he refused to give up. The Generals at the time liked his spirit and he was recruited into the same project that created the greatest Dwarven soldiers, like Corporal Ironforge. Unlike Corporal Ironforge, Kramdrus and the other soldiers were failures who lost most of their mind in return for incredible strength.
Still, Kramdrus has a form of respect among the Black Boars. They follow him out of a sense of respect, as the rest of the Black Boars find him to be a stronger man than them, and therefore he is their leader. The Orange Phoenixes Squad are the ones who command the Black Boars in most scenarios, as they are the brains to the Black Boars's brawn.
Manpower
The Black Boars are one of the largest Squads in the Dwarven Army, because they have all of the rejects. They also do not suffer casualties as often as the other Squads, thanks to the fact that they do not participate in most battles. More of them die to complications with their enhancements than battle, as it is more difficult to kill them than other soldiers.
Weapons
The Black Boars use rejected weapons that were not deemed good enough by the
Golden Automatons. Still, they are said to be quite strong weapons, just not as good as the standard.
Upkeep
The Black Boars do not require upkeep, as they are fed anything that is thrown out in Ironforge, edible or not. Their weapons are also trash that are thrown out, and their uniforms are nonexistant, being just tattered clothes that they once wore.
Recruitment
Black Boars recruits are those soldiers that are not recruited into other Squads. At the ceremony where other Squads are recruited, the Black Boars do not look for anything. Other Squads look for types of people or kinds of skills. The Black Boars do not. Their General is not even permitted to go to the recruitment ceremony.
Instead, all failures are offered an option. They are told that they can still contribute to Dwarven society and protecting it. That they can still help fight for their country. All they need to do is give in to the experiments.
Duty
The Black Boars do not have a prescribed duty, as they cannot follow complex orders, nor can they come up with their own plans. Instead, they are tasked with fighting anyone in front of them. The Orange Phoenixes who command them often stay behind them for this very reason.
Black Boars are considered the most steadfast protectors of Dwarven territory because they give themselves up for the cause, losing themselves to fight for their country. This is also thanks to their actual mascot, the successful enhanced soldier: Corporal Ironforge.
Black Boars are considered incredibly dangerous because they would also destroy Dwarven society if they were let loose into Ironforge. They have no actual patriotism, being complete anarchists. The only thing keeping them on the side of the Dwarves is the fact that the Dwarves only let them loose when there are enemies and no civilians. Even then, they rarely let the Black Boars go anywhere, keeping them inside so they cannot cause trouble.
