History
Bellamy was the youngest of six known children born to Stephen and Elizabeth Bellamy in
Mirage. Elizabeth died soon after, and was buried. The future pirate became a sailor at a young age; in her late teens, she boarded the
Lady Vengeance and fought in several battles.
Bellamy traveled to
Boralus, allegedly to seek some of her relatives there. she took an affair with a local bard.
Goody Hallett — the "Lute Wizard".
For whatever reason, she left Boralus in early 1131 AD with a group of men to seek the vast treasures on the
Diver's Grave from various wreck. Wealthy jeweler
Cassia Brownoak, daughter of
Skyla Brownoak, joined Bella and funded their expedition.
The treasure hunters apparently met with little success, as they soon turned to piracy, joining the Longstraw pirates in the crew of pirate captain
Sigurd Snake Eyes, who commanded the
Sea Ghost with her first mate.
In the year 1135 AD in Lothron, Sam embarked on a new expedition to the Diver's Grave, utilizing the borrowed ship, the Sea Ghost. The initial expedition proved relatively successful, largely due to the involvement of a new pirate named Wellan. This success highlighted the vital need for Sam to acquire her own ship, granting her the freedom to explore more extensively.
Together with two other pirates, Wellan and Rudy, they devised a plan to procure a large ship – a three-masted vessel named the Garrot – from the harbor of Boralus. This ship had recently experienced a mutiny among its crew.
Their plan involved two steps: first, liberate imprisoned mutin from the ship to gather enough sailors capable of managing the sizable vessel; second, infiltrate the ship and abscond with it before the pursuing marines could apprehend them.
However, a complication arose during the process of freeing the potential crewmates. The liberation of the futur crew created an explosion that caused the captaincy to collapse. This misfortune left Sam injured, with a broken leg.
As a consequence, the entire city's guards commenced a search for them, prompting the pirates to quickly find shelter and conceal themselves. Despite these setbacks, and with Wellan's encouragement, they resolved to proceed with their plan. The urgency of the situation drove them to the harbor, where they forcefully and quickly took over the Garrot. They swiftly navigated through the harbor, causing more destruction and evading, successfully escaping their pursuers.
