Jarvan Lightshield, also known as Jarvan, is the former king of Eldrida and the father of Doric Lightshield.
History
Jarvan was the grandson of Yvva, the Dragon founder of the Kingdom of Eldrida, and the heir of the Lightshield, the royal family of Eldrida. After his coronation, the noble families of Eldrida vied for his favor, leading to conflicts among them. However, Jarvan was determined to prevent these rivalries from escalating to dangerous levels. To promote unity, he made a compromise by marrying Lady Catherine, a beloved figure among the people. Their relationship was strong, and they were blessed with a son named Doric. Tragically, Catherine passed away during childbirth, leading Jarvan to vow never to remarry and devote himself to grooming Doric as the next heir of Eldrida. One fateful day, Magnus Hart of the Orrin Empire attacked and killed Jarvan's family, seizing the title of emperor. Doric was insistent on seeking vengeance against those who wronged Eldrida and denied the supremacy of dragons, and Jarvan agreed, allowing his son, now a general, to wage war against their neighboring foe.Family tree
