Darvik Vilgefortz was a mage and a court wizard. Described as young, but incredibly talented. He was described as being very handsome, tall, well built, and possessing a lovely voice.
 

History

Early Life

As an infant, he was abandoned by his parents and left to die in a gutter. He was found and raised by druids, and during his stay, a mage visited them. He offered to take Darvik and teach him, feeling his magical energy, though Darvik refused his offer. Later he left the druids, and traveled over the world. He served as a mercenary of the mercenary club, and later as a spy of the empire with the dark lanterns. He himself recalled being ashamed of the things he had done, including robbing and killing people. In the end, he was running to the other end of the world from the executioner's axe, where he met a woman. He had a short romance with her, yet later when she left him, he joined the mages.
  Darvik's thirst for unlimited power brought him to the conclusion that he needed Dragon's blood in order to claim their powers. Using intrigues and his genial intellect, he helped the empire in exchange of resources for his quest and experimentations.
  On his quest of power, Darvik had gathered many mages under his banner, his talents and ability quickly granting him the title of archmage among his pairs. Creator of numerous spells thanks to his magical experimentation, he was often caught giving lessons and lectures about the art of manipulating the weave.
  With the mages under his command, he saw this as a new opportunity to hoards funds and resources, asking the empire for those with the project of creating an academy of magic. The first of the magic school was created in Holypertuis, at first generalist, it quickly specialized in enchantment as it was the school of magic most useful for Darvik plan of manipulation.
  Over the years, more schools Opened among the various cities of the empire, and even outside of its borders.
 

Criminal Life

On the other hand, the empire got informed of his darker experimentation, and of his manipulation among the academy. He was accused of treason and put in dimeritium shackles. However, he managed to broke free and ran away. Hastily creating a portal to teleport far away, the unstable rift within the plane exploded as Darvik crossed it, the explosion caused him a serious wound on his face, he lost one eye that day.
  Afterward he hid in his castle, in the Lightfoot Kingdom, and continued to scheme to get his hand on dragon blood. He planned to use the dragon's blood on himself, hoping to ascend to something greater.
  Having heard rumors about dragon's among the Yuan-ti, Darvik's moved to the Green earth. Unwelcomed among the snake people, he was attacked by Tanith Helicos, scratching Darvik just under his not working eye. Darvik ignited the vampire and ran to the jungle.
  It was the last time he was seen or heard of, an official statement presuming he hide in other planes to continue his research.
 

Half-dragon

In truth, while adventuring deeper in Calames Jungle, Darvik crossed Sseth path. Bargaining with the pseudo-god, he obtained what he wanted, dragon's blood, in exchange for centuries of servitude.
  With the ingredient he wished for all his life finally obtained, Darvik started his mad ritual, bathing in the dragon's blood, he became a half dragon.
