Cloudfur was a close advisor of
Sun Star, and an important warrior among the
Oreskos pride. However, he grew to hate the lack of retaliation of his people against the
Redfang clan and plotted against his king to overtake his seat. A plane that failed due to adventurers, leading to his ban of the Oreskos Pride.
Cloudfur proclaimed himself CLoudstar and leads a small pride of independent and rebel
Tabaxi, the
Swornclaw, who track and hunt orcs and minotaurs alike.
Characteristics
Physical features
The deep, grey fur shows signs of a few burned patches and scars that distort the tribal markings worked into it. Under a topknot spray of dreadlocks worked with rings and charms covered by an iron helmet, his face is a grinning picture of rakish humor, and behind his amber feline eyes there is a wisdom and insight. His posture, however, is of a quick, sly fighter. Wearing splint armor to protect him, he carries a large greatsword with a vicious-looking point.
Mental traits
Cloud Star is a powerful warrior and an incredible fighter, little may face him undamaged in close combat, and the tabaxi takes great pride in the skill he honed. He is unwelcoming of strangers, and nourishes a deep hatred for the red orcs of the
Redfang clan who constantly seek to pillage the land of his people. Since Cloud Star was banned from his clan, he now lead a new small and independent pride, and his anger bloomed in a fury that fuel his people.
History
Cloud Star is a powerful warrior, whose might is only rivaled by his pride, he was the second in command after the king of the pride himself, Sun on the mountaintop. Sun was one of the rare able to challenge and even defeat Cloudfur among the Oreskos Pride, yet the two were close friends and shared a deep bond with a common interest, the safety of the pride. However, the constant raid and attempts of the Redfang to pillage their tree, steal their fruits and murder their people were something Cloudfur hoped the Oreskos would take action against, yet Sun constantly claimed the village couldn't be taken and started a war against the
Orc would only lead to useless bloodshed.
Cloudfur couldn't take it anymore, and with sincere regret, started to plot against his friend and king. He used the king's son, and his fascination for
Magic, to lure him to danger and used this opportunity to try and defeat the king during an official challenge, something that would grant him leadership of the pride. His plan however, was doomed to fail with the intervention of a group of adventurers from the
Adventurer's guild. For his crimes, he was banned from the pride, he could never put a paw in the
World Tree Woods again without risking death by his own people.
Cloudfur left furious, followed by a few that believed his action was right and started a new pride, the Swornclaw pride, changing his name to become Cloud Star. The tabaxi of this new pride swore to track and hunt red orcs, and to kill them on sight. Meanwhile, the Oreskos pride entirely changed his government system following this incident.
