Ryuri Benroty, Lord Rory Benroty (a.k.a. the Black)
Rory Benroty is the Ryuri of the Benroty Clan in the western region of the country of Colo. He is a 65-year-old Human that rules the Benroty Clan from his fortified city of Rotrishold.
Rory became the Ryuri Benroty when his father was killed in a battle with the husband of his daughter, Hewinn Benroty, in 214 AF. Although the war with Imesse is now long over, Rory has not stopped fighting it. He has conducted an ongoing border conflict with the people of Imesse for the last 17 years by encouraging (some say even planning and participating in) cross-border raids and atttacks all along the Benroty territory's frontier with Imesse. He is particularly hostile to any Imessian he encounters and is seemingly incapable of being civil to one whenever he meets one in public.

General Physical Condition
A large and very fit man for his age. Rory is more than 6' tall and still has a very broad chest and wide shoulders. More gray than black, one can still see the roots of his nickname, "the Black", in his raven-dark hair.

Motivation
Rory is convinced that the whole of the Colian people should be united under one king, and that he should be that king. He has spent his entire reign as Ryuri Benroty working to build a coalition of like-minded Ryuri that will support his claim to the title of Ard Ri as a permanent and hereditary office, with the Benroty Clan being the royal bloodline that fills the role.
