Pteranodon
Pteranodon are large flying predators known to inhabit the continent of Notios and possibly the continents of Fotios and Prasinae as well. Very little is known of these creatures and very few verifiable observations have been documented. What is known is that there are multiple species of these creatures and that they vary in size from as small as large geese to behemoths with wingspans exceeding 40'.
Typically described as universally displaying huge heads with long beaks, long slender necks and thin membranous wings, they have been seen using their folded wings as forelegs and walking quadrupedally upon the ground. Some specimens are hairless and have a brightly hued hide stretched over their long, hollow bones while others are covered in a soft, short fur of various colors. Some have sharp needle-like teeth in their beaks while others are toothless. All have four razor-sharp claws on their hind legs.
Basic Information
Dietary Needs and Habits
All known descriptions of Pteranodons describe the creatures as hunting and consuming fish and marine animals from the air, with a few notable but questionable examples of specimens living exclusively on carrion flesh.
