Fotios
Fotios is the third-largest continent in the world, encompassing more than 17 million square miles of land and stretching from 30-degrees north down across the equator to 30-degrees south. The continent is roughly the same size as Asia and is located in the center of the eastern hemisphere. It is a geologically dynamic land mass, with dozens of massive volcanoes and a huge rift valley that is (literally) tearing the continent apart. Earthquakes are common and can be catastrophically strong.
Geography
Fotios is the most geologically active region on the planet. There are documented reports of no fewer than 87 active volcanoes along the continent's coast alone and earthquakes so large as to have spawned world-spanning tsunamis within living memory. Vast regions of bare, black basalt rock for as far as the eye can see cover portions of the continent due to the many violent eruptions, especially in the north.
The center of the continent is made up of a huge rift valley that is slowly tearing the land apart. Within the heart of this vast valley are two large and very salty seas. So salty, in fact, that a humanoid can float effortlessly in the water and never sink.
