Notios
Notios is the name given by Gnome scholars for the second-largest and southernmost continent in the world. Stretching from the tropics in the north to the artic in the south, the continent covers some 22 million square miles, or roughly twice the area of Africa.
Almost nothing is known of the geography of Notios. Only the northernmost portions of the land have had any visitors from the realms of Thrae, and nearly everything that is known of the place concerns these northern areas exclusively.
Notios has a single area in the western hemisphere where a native population of Humans exist. This region, known as Outremeer in the civilized world, is a roughly 1,200 miles stretch of coast where a people known as Harakaar live.
Geography
What little is known of the continent is directly located on its northern shores. These regions are vast, mostly unexplored and almost entirely unmapped. These regions are also the ones located in the warmest portions of the continent, along the tropical and sub-tropical latitudes.
Fauna & Flora
Rumored to be the home of some of the largest megafauna in all the world. Gigantic beasts, huge bird-like predators, monstrous trees that reach hundreds of feet into the sky and insects the size of horses. Stories abound of horned humanoids that stand 8' tall and eat the flesh of their own children.
