To'rer'ot
The race of the Sulethis Republic and Empire. They are extremely adaptive, able to inhabit many alien worlds even without Cybernetic Enhancements. Furthermore, they are adventurous and like to embrace the unknown. Thus they are likely to migrate to alien worlds in mass. They also have an organ that allows them to project holograms without use of technology.
Trained use of the hologram organ was culturally qutie important to them. It could be used to indicate status to a decent degree, and during their history some people have managed to bluff their way into riches with practiced use of the hologram organ. Alternatively, some were also taken to the miltary because this was a useful skill to have in the army, with many varied applications. They can also explain complicated topics using them, such as showing technology schematics or even 'memory videoes'. There was also the possibility of fabricating memories or lying however...
The to'rer'ot are a carbon based lifeform. They manipulate using 2 large hands. The to'rer'ot are omnivorous and can eat almost any type of food on their homeworld, but might not be able to eat alien food unless they adapt to it. Regardless, this might result in the to'rer'ot's microbime being modified and losing the Transformation Bacteria which allows their bodies to be highly malleable which is not likely ot be desired. The option of eating sterlised alien food is then mostly a last resort option.

History
They were seeded by a precursor faction - the Rikavi Ancients, during the Starsong incident. They were seeded for a simlar reason as Suons, they wanted to save lives and bring back species from the Rikavi Interdimensional Portal.
The Rikavi believed the universe should be ruled primarily by the precursors as they were stronger and more experienced, but there was no point in that without a number of minor races being present to rule over. They never intended on becoming tyrants and intended to treat those species under their rule very well, even sharing their power with them.
They used their body holograms to fool predators on their homeworld, to trick enemies and even in recreational events.
