Subspatial Starship

A kind of starship used by most factions including the HF, HE, HM, CD and more. It is used like a submarine, able to dive into higher dimensions and strike the enemy by surprise. This opens up a lot of options for commanders in space, such as rapid flank attacks, intelligence gathering, or to counter heavy ships.
This operation is only made possible through extensive modifications to the entire ship, or to design a ship specifically for subspatial travel. The only known exception to this is the Sovereign Light - Class Advanced Cruiser, which has a specially designed module that can be installed in its module slot. These modifications force deisngers to sacrifice some other aspect of the ship, typically armour, in exchange for the extra utility and stealthiness.
According to string theory, there are many dimensions higher than the 3rd. Subspatial Starships can dive by effectively riding gravitons into the 4th dimension
