Latnral - Class Subspatial Starship
Subspatial Starship of the Sulethis Republic.
The Latnral is a large subspatial starship designed for an anti heavy role. It is armed with several highly powerful railguns mounted spinally. These can fire huge slugs at extremely high velocity and cause an immense amount of damage but cant rotate. This is meant to surprise attack an enemy heavy starship and fire all its railguns at an enemy heavy ship and destroy it, diving back into subspace before the enemy can respond. It has no secondary weapons.
The Latnral is also haevily armoured and shielded unlike most subspatial starships. This does make it exceptionally slow but allows it to take hits from the enemy craft. As it is purely focused on single target striking, it is likely to be flanked so is also armoured from the sides. It has a relatively weak laser CIWS defence network, but it does have one.
The ship is powered by a highly advanced and powerful fusion reactor that is capable of fusing large amounts of hydrogen highly efficiently to produce a large amount of usable power. This is required to power the high power railgun network, which many of them are slaved to each other.
Due to the heavy armour, however, as well as the sheer mass of all the equipment of the ship, it is very slow. So slow that it can be difficult to aim the weapon at a target at mid range.
