Nasi
A Drath Subspatial Starship captain best known for completely destroying a cluster of star systems (from a Superstring - Class Subspatial Starship) of the HEX Mainframe and ending quadrillions of lives. This has earned him a reputation for being a war criminal.
However, in his own point of view, this act was necessary. These star systems were cooperating in developing a weapon similar to a Slipspace Bomb, except combined with a Nicoll-Dyson Beam.
A megastructure with a nicoll-dyson beam that, instead of making the target star supernova, it turns the entire star system into a Spatial Rift. The HM called it a slipspace superweapon.
Nasi saw that the deployment of this weapon would result in potentially even more lives extinguished than his own targets. Because he provided evidence of this act, the military did not expel him.
However, the culture of the Hyperion Federation ignored the evidence and blamed him for the deaths of quadrillions.
Despite entire protests set up, the military still did not discharge him. As a result of this, Nasi's personality was impacted by the protests. Despite his subjectively correct move, Nasi regrets this action and only wants to be accepted by his people.
As a result, he moved to a different class of starship, a Lurker - Class Subspatial Starship, as the Lurker has no planet destroying options. Instead of destroying planets and stars, he wanted to destroy enemy heavy starships.
The HF military issued Nasi his own Shockworm in the event of power failure. A lot of his crew also has one, because many would be needed to power a Subspatial Starship long enough to reach the material plane. Normally this task would be left for ZPE to fix, but gave him the option for redundancy.
The rest of the crew of his new ship would bully Nasi for his percieved war crime. Nasi reported these acts to his superiors, so they stopped, but they are still yet to earn Nasi's trust despite Nasi being an otherwise very experienced Subspatial Starship captain. Because of this, the HF military started giving the crew and captain team building training. This would upset both parties who wanted to destroy those who threaten the HF. As of current time, this exercise is still underway but is commencing surprisingly well because Nasi gave his crew the evidence.
