JS-921 B Star Lifter
Very large megastructure built in the JS-921 System, which is owned by the HEX Mainframe.
The megastructure is a star lifter which takes metals form the star and refines them for use. It is powered under fusion, supplying itself with hydrogen from the same star it star lifts, so it is perpetually self powered until the star runs out of fuel. It is built around JS-921 B, the class F star of this trinary system, so it has access to a lot of potential material.
This star lifter resembles a ring world except it has no dedicated habitation section around the interior of the ring. Instead, this is used to exploit Graviton Wave Refraction to effectively steal gravitons from many points around the star and emit them back at the star at a localized point, which causes stellar plasma to be lifted up and absorbed by the star lifter. It fuses most of the hydrogen, filters heavier elements (primarily metals) out and returns excess hydrogen to the star. The star lifter is only under construction currently, so the HM has not been able to construct transmutation reactors yet. Despite its under construction nature, it is still armed in case a starship of an enemy faction manages to threaten it. Along the sides of the ring are thousands of turreted weapons, all highly powerful and capable of long range attacks due to high muzzle velocity.
