JS-921 A VII
Planet located in the JS-921 System, which is owned by the HEX Mainframe.
The planet orbits JS-921 A, the black hole in this trinary system. It receives almost no energy from the black hole, and it is an extremely cold ice giant. It orbits at a very large radius and is the furthest planet from the black hole which orbits said black hole.The planet is used primarily for science. The HM has constructed various scientific facilities orbiting the world for experimentation in extremely hold, high pressure environments. The atmosphere is just over a single kelvin above absolute zero, making the entire atmosphere an exotic state of matter.
The world is too valuable to allow ice giant extraction, so it is not exploited for resources. They have, however, secured control of the planet with strategically placed defence platforms that will target enemy ships from any orbit, to any orbit. For this purpose, they have put a large number of missile launchers in the defence platforms as missiles have the range and versatility needed. Of course, they also fitted the stations with regular weapons because missiles can be countered by several methods. There are also shipyards, which are intended to be used if the system comes under siege, but so far have never been used. This is because the shipyards dont have any resources in stock.
