Cyseus
A fairly large galaxy. The home galaxy of the HEX Mainframe.
The Cyseus galaxy was previously inhabited by a large amount of organic factions. As they continually fought among each other for dominance, the HM slowly assimilated them one by one, just barely staying under the radar.
Eventually the HM reached a critical mass where it could fight the rest of the organic factions on its own. This war was fought, but the HM adopted a rapid strike doctrine where they overwhelm their enemy with very fast drones, sometimes by kamikazeing themselves.
The few organic factions left, although large, could not effectively fight back against this. They built fast anti drone weapons but they helped little when the HM made them extremely evasive. Some factions used lasers against them which saw more sucess but ultimately overwhelmed with sheer numbers.
With no way out of their home galaxies, every sentient being in the galaxy either died or got assimlated. After being assimilated, every organism loses its ability to reproduce naturally so the HM used cloning vats. To do this, though, they need a very large portion of a species in order to replicate it.
The HM could not deny the possibilty that there were other organics in the wider universe. As such, the HM built far more Dyson Spheres in Cyseus to improve their advanced wormhole technology and obtain the powerful omnicannons they now use so often.
Once they left and made contact with the Hyperion Federation, the HM realised it was largely outcalssed by many intergalactic entites such as the Cypher Dominion. As such, the HM developed more powerful shields and armour, the latter of which became stronger than TGX Composite in some conditions.

Cyseus is a galaxy with 4 spiral arms. These arms are called the Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma quadrants respectively in a clockwise orientation.
