Alpha Data Center U-95
The data center on Dyson Sphere Alpha where most starships and logistical vehicles were coordinated.
The data center was very large, and rooted deep into the Dyson Sphere itself in order to obtain sufficient energy from the sun easily. It was a high priority load that required a lot of energy to function effectivly. At the time, Teleporters were not invented yet so the HF still had logistical vehicles and starships. Teleporters were invented in 2957, roughly 200 years after the construction of the Dyson sphere.
As the structure is so important it has multiple power supplies for redundancy and the structure itself comes in several sections with redundant data banks. The whole building itself is armoured with extermely thick TGX Composite that is probably difficult for most starship wepaons to penetrate, and eaech data bank section is compartmentalized in a different armoured compartment. TGX composite armour is also entirely fireproof. Some alternate power supplies include Planck-Dismantlement Beams and ZPE.
After the invention of teleporter technology, the data center was repurposed. It still serves to coordinate a massive number of assets in the Rho Tasralas System, but also many in nearby star systems as well due to massively improved computing technology. Machines like these could effortlessly calculate orbits of all objects in the system to prevent and warn neearby starships of potential collisions and run a massive number of calculations at once. It constantly monitors every object inthe system and several nearby systems, an operation that is extremely demanding. Other aspects were also improved with the invention of new technologies and innovations.
With the invention of QEN it became possible to re-use heat energy to an extent, so most of the heat produced from compoutation is directed back down towards the star to be re-absorbed by a different section of the Dyson sphere. It also radiates some heat to space using QEN heat vents. This operation is performed very often by the Hyperion Federation now.
