Telepathy, basic

This is classic telepathy. It is the ability to mentally communicate with another, or even eavesdrop on someone’s thoughts and only surface thoughts. Beginners typically start as one of two types: Broadcasters (or Senders) and Receivers. A Broadcaster is able to project their thoughts to another subject, which could also include the non-gifted. A Receiver is able to obtain the thoughts of another subject, which could also include the non-gifted.
Psionicists at the next level are sometimes called Radios. They can both broadcast and transmit thoughts. At first, beginner telepaths can only focus on one subject at a time. With practice, they can transmit and receive thoughts from multiple sources.
The transmission of emotions and feelings is a slightly different kind of telepathy, (Empathy or Empathic Transmission). The most powerful telepaths go even further and can actually implant and change thoughts in another subject. This practice is feared as it is essentially a form of mind control, and even the most benevolent of telepaths with this power are usually treated with suspicion.
