Empathy

Empathy (or Emotion Sense) is the ability to tell what someone is feeling. This allows the psionic to open himself to empathic transmissions, feelings, emotions and the such. This can often be used to tell if someone is nearby but cannot be used to pinpoint the person.
When a subject is within range, the Empath can tell whether or not the subject is lying--not what the truth is, just whether or not the subject is being truthful. The ability is not always a steadfast nor concrete proof of lying or being truthful. It's about as accurate as a lie detector.
Some do not find this a useful power since very emotionally sensitive people have the capacity to detect another person's feelings without being psychically gifted. However, others claim that the power of Empathy is a real, accurate, and useful power since the Empath actually shares the subject's emotional state.
