Toshan

Toshan is a country on the southern hemisphere of the Guardian Dragon. The land has been mostly Elven throughout its history, but some more relatively recent events forced the elves to withdraw into forests in hopes of staying out of sight of outsiders, making humans the dominant race.

Geography

Majority of Toshan wilderness is plains and plateaus, with two greater forests in south and east and a desert to north-west.

Weather

The weather is strongly affected by the magical currents that run through the world, and while the majority of the country can be geographically compared to Central Ager, with the seasons changing clearly and the landscape being mostly wilderness, there is also a desert at the North-West part of the country; this was a result of two great mages fighting, changing the landscape and the weather completely.

Races

Most people of Toshan are human, who have spread throughout the land, all the way to the deserts and the islands surrounding the country. Elves have only resently began to emerge back out from their forests, but they still mostly prefer to keep to themselves.   Shapechangers are also unusually common in Toshan, despite their rarity as a race. They sometimes accompany the mages of the country, their relationship somewhere between familiarship and friendship.   Any other races are, generally speaking, rare. There are no established Dwarven communities nor Dragon nests, and most other races come in the form of visitors that arrive on ships to the coastal dwellings, such as the capital city of Ravenseye.

Khu'ata and Toshan have a warm relationship with one another despite Khu'ata being dominantly elven. Khu'ata is home to many scholars, and Toshan's history is tied closely to that of humans and elves, so many are eager to visit the smaller country whenever possible. In exchange, Khu'ata delivers magical items that would otherwise be rare in Toshan.

Lemena

About 150 years ago, Lemena's then Queen treated with Toshan, and the two mostly deal with each other in trade. There has never been any considerable disagreements between the two.

Peace

Toshan and Galinstrann aren't very close diplomatically despite being each other's closest bigger nations. Toshan has a history of treating its elves poorly, and Galinstrann, a mostly elven state, is well aware of this. Most often, an independant merchant might sail to Toshan to sell magical items that are generally hard to come by there.

Neutral

Much like with Galinstrann, the elven leader of Heart of the World is aware of the poor treatment of elves of the land. These days, the two nations are at peace, but they have no official treaties of any kind.
