Circle of the Crone

The Circle of the Crone is considered the vampiric equivalent of neo-paganism and witchcraft. It follows the belief that a goddess (the Crone) was cast out from the other Gods and Goddesses for uncertain reasons. They celebrate most of the major Wiccan holidays and practice a "Blood Magic" known as CrĂșac. There are many differences in belief and dogma between various circles and cities of the covenant. They generally dislike and argue with the Lancea Sanctum. Many of its members are Gangrel. They practice many rituals, ceremonies and holidays.

Circle of the Crone in the Shadow Republic

The Circle of the Crone was established in the Shadow Republic in the aftermath of the Civil War, with many its members being former slaves. The Circle of the Crone is split into two factions, one which is largely centered around African and Haitian rituals and one which is leaning more towards old world paganism. The first is informally headed by Zwazo Nwa, the second by Valeria Denoument. The official Crone, Bell, largely gained control of the Covenant by being uninterested in the in-fighting, bringing the Covenant together during the Covenant War and leading in battle.
Despite the Covenant War being ended, the Crone has not forgotten and it is rare to see a member of the Circle in the same room as one from the Lancea et Sanctum.
