A timeline of important events
The fourth age is known as the age of Gods. Dragons have become nearly extinct and goes into exile to the remotest corners of the world as the new races of the lands seeks to hunt them down to the last. The gods assert dominance over civilizations and grow in power. The old kingdoms and realms of the third age are no more but new nations arise from the ashes. It is an age known for a lot of petty wars between small nations and the clash of many races. The cataclysmic ruin brought on by the Dragon wars fade into legend and myth. This age sees the emergence of Halflings and gnomes, Tieflings and Aasimars, and the end of the last vestige of draconic influence with the fall of Angor An. The greatest event of the fourth age was the fall of the God Meliosat, which simultaneously marked the end of the age. When Meliosat lord of the good gods, bearing the mantle of the Morning lord, in his hubris roused Bael, first of the primordial dragons in an attempt to take its power and end the Infernal war once and for all. Meliosat broke the barrier of the Divine, desended on the Prime material and sought out Bael. The first of this world awoke from its slumber and Meliosat the Morninglord found his divinity no match for the ancient. A small island off the south coast of Baleria, perpetually shielded by a storm brought forth by Tulmarim in her sorrow stands monument to the conflict, where once was the mountain of Silverfang. The Fourth age thus ended in the year 2689 of its era with the death of Meliosat.
Charithras returned to the material plane and wrought terrible vengence upon Dimhur with new dark powers attained from the dark realm. With powerfull dragon magic the land was cast under darkness, and a swarming horde of hatefull spirits swept over the land and slew all living beings, cleaning the land of all who could not ward off the undead horde
The fifth and current age saw the rise of Amathandir who stepped up to fill the void left by Meliosat. It has mostly been a peaceful age, at least in comparison to earlier ages. It sees nations growing and consolidating, as well as slowly pushing the wild lands back, fighting off the horrors left behind in the third age to win new land. The Fifth age once again sees trickles of of the influence of the Tyrant gods. Magic has also been weakening, with the number of mages gradually declining.
