Queenshold of Marnan
The Queenshold of Marnan lies between the Ghaldo mountains and the Insea and has a Slavic cultural flavor to it. It is a wild and rustic land of rolling hills, fortified towns wild forests and enthralling tales of monsters and heroes. Currently ruled by the sorcerous queen Velenya who is known for her unearthly beauty, equally beloved and feared. She has ruled the nation with an iron fist for two centuries. Under her rule, the rights of the commoners have been expanded greatly but at the cost of several rebellions from the nobility. In the aftermath of the last rebellion, the capital was moved from Crooked bridge to Keleron .
Demography and Population
The population of Marnan is predominantly human, so much so that anyone who looks different in any manner is given caution. There is a very slight number of Havelins and Gnomes and they keep mostly to themselves. Orks are not tollerated, and Half-Orks face much discrimination.
Territories
Marnan leys claim to the lands from slopes of the Crags and the land between the Ghaldo mountains and the Insea . It has in the last decade lost territories to the sough after war with the Ferlbin errupted over aggressions along the border. The former border went along the Insea gorge.
Foreign Relations
Marnan is at a tenous peace with the various nations around the Insea, exept for Firens which it's currently at war with.
Education
It is not at all uncommon for commoners to be illiterate. Education within Marnan is reserved for the nobility and the wealthy.
