Faliva
The roots of Faliva are older than the people who now call it home. After the calamity that destroyed the old empire ofDimhur, Faliva stood barren and in ruins for centuries, a festering nest of monsters and shades. This changed when exiles from feudal strife in Tulim landed on the shores and set about carving out a home for themselves three hundred years ago.
The smallest city of the great four Faliva nevertheless sports a population of 14500 thousand. Dealing in fishing, timber, and wool, it is a modestly prosperous town. The people of the greater cities scoff at Faliva having a Sarif, but the city is old and held more influence in the past. It sits nestled in between steep hills and its mediocre ports have limited its growth. In later years, Faliva has gained an unsavory reputation for crime and black market activity. The Sarif of Faliva is said to have lost a fair amount of influence through Sarif Hanes Aqelan being a weak ruler, and rivaling noble houses have begun to act more boldly.
History
Five years ago, Faliva was plagued with drugs, and several families went into ruin as husbands and mothers were caught addicted to a new potion' that made people feel incredibly relaxed and comfortable, and which gave sweet dreams but also a hunger, for more. The price was low at first, but then the gang that sold the prices turned jacked it up, and people went into ruin, started stealing and killing for money, and some started overdosing on the drug. They then fell into a very deep sleep from which they could not be roused. A few who woke up told of incredibly vivid dreams of another world. At the same time, the hz< jnc Sarifen sat and did not seem to care significantly.
